Finals week is short and brutal and weirdly lonely. The dining hall empties out, everyone is in the library at midnight, and the brain does the thing where it cannot remember its own name.
Write the letter from somewhere they would consider their old life — your kitchen table, your couch, the place where they used to live. We mail it on the morning finals start. They open it in the library and remember they are someone outside of their GPA.

What is an open-when letter?
A sealed letter labeled with the moment it should be opened — “Open when you miss me”, “Open when you can't sleep”. The tradition started in military families; the format is now used by everyone in any long-distance or high-stress relationship.
How does delivery work?
You write the letter (digital $9 or handwritten $19), pick a future date one month to two years out, and we mail it on the morning of that date. Real envelope, real wax seal, US mail.
When should I order this for a college student?
Order at least 2 weeks before finals start. Set the delivery date to the morning of their first exam. We will mail it to their dorm or off-campus address.
Can I send one for both fall and spring finals?
Yes — two separate orders, two different delivery dates. Each is a separate $9 (digital) or $19 (handwritten) letter. Some parents do this as an annual tradition for all four years.
