How does Hold My Letter work?+
It's simple! You sign up and pay online, then you receive a verification code and our mailing address. Write your letter by hand, write the code on the back of the envelope, seal it up, and mail it to us. We store it safely for one year, then mail it back to you with tracking. Your words, your handwriting, arriving from the past!
What's the verification code for?+
The verification code connects your physical letter to your online order. When we receive your letter, we match the code to your account so we know where to mail it back. Write it anywhere on your letter—front, back, or inside. Just make sure we can see it!
What if I forget to write the code on my letter?+
Don't panic! As a backup, we can try to match your letter using the name you signed up with. Make sure the name on your letter matches your account. But please try to include the code—it makes everything much smoother!
Do you read my letter?+
No! Your letter stays sealed the entire time. We never open, read, or share your contents. Your words are yours alone.

How much does it cost?+
We offer two options: a 1 Year Letter for $19.99 or a 2 Year Letter for $34.99 (one-time payments). Both include secure storage and tracked return delivery.
Is there a subscription?+
Nope! It's a simple one-time payment per letter. No subscriptions, no recurring charges. Pay once, and you're done.
What's the difference between 1 Year and 2 Year?+
The 1 Year Letter ($19.99) is held for one year before being mailed back to you. The 2 Year Letter ($34.99) is held for two years. Both include secure storage and tracked return delivery. Choose whichever timeframe feels right for the message you want to send!
📬 Shipping & Delivery
How do I send my letter to you?+
After you pay, you'll receive our mailing address. Just put your sealed letter in an envelope and mail it to us using regular mail. If you want extra privacy, you can put your sealed letter inside a second envelope—we'll only open the outer one.
When will I get my letter back?+
We mail your letter back approximately one year from when we receive it. We use tracked shipping so you'll know exactly when it's on its way. We aim to get it to you around the anniversary date, but exact delivery depends on mail carriers.
What if I move before my letter arrives?+
No problem! Just log into your account and update your address before the return date. We'll mail your letter to your new address. If a letter is returned to us as undeliverable, we'll try to contact you via email to get your updated address.
Do you ship internationally?+
Currently, we ship within the United States only. International shipping coming soon!
💝 Letters to Someone Special
Can I send a letter to someone else?+
Yes! You can send a letter to anyone you love. It's a perfect surprise for graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, or just because. Choose your delivery date (up to two years out), and we'll mail it to them at that time.
Will the recipient know it's coming?+
Nope—it's a complete surprise! We won't contact them beforehand. They'll just find a heartfelt letter in their mailbox one day.
What if the recipient moves?+
If you or the recipient moves, please contact us with the updated address. We recommend reaching out at least 2-4 weeks before your scheduled delivery date so we can update our records. That's why we ask for your email and phone number—so you can reach us if anything changes!
